CCIE Interviews and SP Open Ended Questions Update
Three links here – 1st up from Cisco -> At Cisco Live we had the chance to talk with a number of IT professionals, some of them new Cisco Learning Network members, some of whom are an integral part of our community. Community Manager Ann Marcus asked a few of them for their advice on pursuing certifications and building a successful career. Interviewees include Scott Morris, Terry Slattery, etc. https://cisco.hosted.jivesoftware.com/community/cisco-live?view=overview
2nd link regarding the ongoing debate about open ended questions – the official Cisco response is here http://ciscocert.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4605/related/1
My own thinking is that they will bring it in sooner rather than later and there will be one months notice of this. Also be aware from the SP Techtorials in Networkers this year that there are lab changes on the way for SP – check out Ricks entry here [3rd link] detailing those changes.http://rickmur.com/2009/01/26/networkers-09-ccie-sp-techtorial
how can they add IPv6 if its not in the blueprint? this doesnt make much sense.
Yes, I agree – I cannot break the NDA but let’s say that I did not study IPv6.
cciesplab, did u pass? can u share ur study methodology>?\
Any further indications on IOS-XR and when the other changes (as indicated in Rick Mur’s blog) may go into effect?
Rick Mur’s blog says ATM will be dropped, but further down he lists:
ATM tested
- PVC, SVC
- PPP over ATM
- PPP, ATM interworking
Mark,
No indication yet – there is definetly something in the wind though – the RS Lab places prior to October 18th were snapped up around the globe overnight – the thinking is that Cisco did that in anticipation of an announcement perhaps regarding the open ended questions. SP wise no news so far.
Dear Mate ,
how to block icmp attack from backbone …
Hi,
Are you talking about Service Provider backbones in general or specifically the SP Lab?
Thanks.
